As Yemeni society is being torn apart by civil war, violent extremism, mass displacement, and the world’s worst humanitarian crisis, ICRD is training local faith and community leaders to overcome obstacles to peace and stability. This past month, ICRD hosted the first of two local trainings intended to build the capacity of community peacebuilders. Held in the south, training participants learned how to facilitate community dialogue, advocate for the marginalized, and resolve local conflicts. This will be followed by a companion training in the north. Learn more about ICRD’s work in Yemen in our latest monthly update.
