On February 6, 2017 Busboys and Poets hosted a reading by Kim Schultz of her book, Three Days in Damascus highlighting the plight of refugees in Syria and the greater Middle East.

ICRD’s Senior Associate, C. Eduardo Vargas moderated the subsequent discussion of how conflict drives displacement, and its impact on individual lives, regional stability, and national security, in addition to fomenting radicalization and religious and cultural tensions in the Levant.
