Program Manager for Middle East & Africa

As Project Manager for Middle East and Africa at the International Center for Religion & Diplomacy (ICRD), Loujain plays a leading role in developing and implementing programs that address interfaith dynamics and build sustainable peace. Her work focuses on empowering communities to overcome the root causes of conflict through tailored initiatives that promote social cohesion, cultural exchange, and conflict transformation. From fostering local partnerships in Mali and Uganda to designing strategies that counter violent extremism in Syria and Yemen, Loujain’s efforts are rooted in collaboration and innovation.

Loujain recently earned her Master’s degree in Communication from George Mason University, specializing in Peace and Conflict Communication, Storytelling, and Migrants’ Identity Formation, graduating with a perfect 4.0 GPA. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and a postgraduate diploma in Marketing from Damascus University. Her academic background is complemented by expertise in qualitative and quantitative research, ensuring her programs are informed by evidence and tailored to complex regional challenges.

In addition to her work at ICRD, Loujain is a Fellow at the Center for Women, Faith & Leadership (CWFL), where she advocates for greater inclusion of women in peacebuilding and global affairs. Fluent in Arabic and English, with a working knowledge of French, she navigates diverse cultural and linguistic landscapes with ease, fostering meaningful dialogue across communities.

Inspired by her upbringing in a multicultural community, she is passionate about fostering dialogue, promoting equity, and driving transformative change.
